Homemade Weight Gainer Shake Recipe

Gaining weight may be the pain of your life. Whether you are suffering from some sort of eating disorder, or just a hardgainer struggling to find some secret to look like all these pro athletes out there (pssstt they’re all on steroids!), you are ultimately in charge of how you look and how much you weigh.

Today, I hope to show you an easy, cheap and quick way to add a large amount of calories to your daily intake, using completely natural ingredients (no whey powder), without the struggle of fitting in an extra meal a day. All you need is a blender and a few bits and bobs from the local supermarket to get started…

The Facts: 37g Protein + 970 Calories

The Recipe:

  • Oats (100g): 376 calories, 11g protein
  • Peanut butter (2tbls): 180 calories, 16g protein
  • Banana: 105 calories, 1.2g protein
  • Ice Cream (2 scoops): 208 calories, 3.8g protein
  • Full Fat Milk (200ml): 100 calories, 7g protein
  • Summer Fruits (handful): 30 calories, 0.1g protein

Mix it up!

Of course, the above is not set in stone and if you feel 970 calories isn’t quite enough (very unlikely), you can always add a couple of tablesppons of olive oil in the mix (one tablespoon of olive oil = 119 calories!), although I would not recommend doing this on a regular basis!
